Accountant — Lebanon

The Accountant will manage and oversee the accounting operations of our client’s business based in Lebanon, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial records. The role is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting management with reliable financial information for decision-making. The Accountant will handle daily accounting tasks and assist in financial reporting and analysis within a business-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

  • Prepare and maintain financial records and supporting documentation

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Ensure compliance with Lebanese accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements

  • Assist in audits and provide required documentation to internal and external stakeholders

  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as required

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations in Lebanon

  • Experience with ERP or accounting software

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
