Job Summary-Financial Controller- (Lebanon)

The Financial Controller will oversee and manage the financial operations of our client’s business based in Lebanon, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting. The role is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing management with reliable financial information to support strategic decision-making. The Financial Controller will also supervise the finance team and ensure efficient day-to-day accounting and financial management within a business-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing

  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts

  • Ensure compliance with Lebanese accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to management to support decision-making

  • Assist with strategic financial planning and risk management

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred

  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience

  • At least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role

  • Strong knowledge of Lebanese accounting standards, financial reporting, and tax regulations

  • Experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong leadership and people management abilities

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
