Chief Accountant -Cameron

The Chief Accountant will lead and manage the company’s full accounting and financial operations in Cameron, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with local and international accounting standards. The role focuses on overseeing daily finance activities, managing the accounting team, and supporting management with reliable financial data for decision-making.

This position requires a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and analytical finance professional who can manage complex financial operations, improve financial processes, and ensure the company’s financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management (Primary Role)

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, and fixed assets
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
• Prepare financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and local laws
• Manage cash flow, banking operations, and treasury activities
• Supervise and develop the accounting team

Financial Planning & Control

• Prepare budgets and forecasts and monitor actual performance
• Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to management
• Monitor costs and improve financial efficiency
• Implement and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities
• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
• Manage tax filings and statutory reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA / ACCA is a strong advantage)
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including a senior or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
