Job Summary Senior Accountant — Lebanon

The Senior Accountant will manage and support the accounting and financial operations of our client’s business based in Lebanon, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial records and reports. The role is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting management with reliable financial information for decision-making.

In addition to technical responsibilities, the Senior Accountant plays a key operational role, supporting the finance function and ensuring efficient day-to-day accounting operations in a business-driven and operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, payments, and collections to ensure adequate liquidity.
• Ensure compliance with Lebanese accounting standards, tax regulations, VAT, social security, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare tax declarations and statutory filings in coordination with external advisors.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese accounting standards, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Hands-on experience with accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High ethical standards and confidentiality.
