Job Summary:
The Financial Consultant will act as a high-level financial advisor to SD Group’s clients, bringing a CFO-level perspective to complex business challenges across multiple industries. The role focuses on delivering strategic financial insights, optimizing business performance, and supporting executive decision-making through advanced financial analysis and advisory.
This position requires a strong combination of technical financial expertise, business acumen, and client-facing capabilities, with the ability to operate across diverse sectors and adapt to different business models.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Advisory
• Lead complex financial advisory engagements across multiple industries
• Provide CFO-level guidance on financial strategy, business growth, and transformation
• Advise clients in restructuring, expansion planning, and investment decisions
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and client's executive management
2. Financial Analysis & Modeling
• Develop and review advanced financial models, business plans, and forecasts
• Conduct feasibility studies, valuations, and investment analyses
• Perform scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to guide strategic decisions
• Evaluate financial performance and identify key value drivers
• Develop robust and informative financial reports
3. Business Performance & Optimization
• Assess business performance through various industries, provide industry trend relative analysis
• Identify inefficiencies and advise on cost optimization strategies
• Advise on pricing strategies, profitability improvement, and margin enhancement
4. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Lead client interactions and presentations
• Translate complex financial data into clear business insights and recommendations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and trust
• Manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment
5. Risk, Governance & Financial Structuring
• Assess financial risks and propose mitigation strategies
• Advise on capital structure, funding options, and financial sustainability
• Suggest internal controls and governance frameworks
• Ensure alignment with regulatory and best practice standards
6. Systems & Transformation
• Support the accounting & audit consultants in improving clients' financial systems, processes, and reporting structures
• Support colleagues in other divisions in ERP implementation and optimization initiatives
• Contribute to finance transformation and digitalization projects
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- MBA or Master’s degree in Financial Engineering
- Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA, CMA) are a strong advantage
- Minimum 10+ years of total professional experience in finance
- At least 5 years of experience in a CFO or equivalent senior financial leadership role (required)
- Proven experience working across multiple industries
- Prior experience in consulting or client-facing roles is highly preferred
- IFRC Diploma
