Senior Accountant -Zambia 

Job Summary 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on and commercially oriented Senior Accountant who can operate effectively in an FMCG, warehouse, or distribution environment.

The candidate should be comfortable working with high-volume transactions, inventory, stock movements, costing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

The successful candidate must be fluent in English, willing to relocate to Zambia, and preferably available to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory and stock movements.
• Handle inventory costing, stock reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Monitor expenses, cash flow, and financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and statutory reporting.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Work closely with Finance, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Strong experience in FMCG, warehouse, distribution, or trading.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, and stock reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Strong Excel and accounting/ERP systems skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Willingness and ability to relocate to Zambia.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
